In the mountains. Everywhere you turn, there is a spectacular reminder that God is with you, that he is in control, that he loves you. That’s true of the ocean, too, but the ocean lacks that pine smell, the sound of the aspens shivering in the breeze, the sight of the sun peeking over the mountains in the morning. You can be miles and miles and miles away from the mountains, and there they are, off in the distance, reminding you of God once again. Mountains can be craggy and snow-topped like the Rockies, they can be majestic and distant like the Tetons, they can be gentle and sweet like the Smokies. "In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him." Psalm 95:4
