Due to Christmas, a computer crash, a sick daughter, and a nice little snowstorm here in Kodiak, I’ve decided to let the blog rest this week. I’ll be back for Short Story Tuesday and Word Nerd Wednesday next week.

If you get a chance, watch the film The Nativity Story this Christmas season. Historically and religiously accurate and sensitive, it brings home the reality of the birth of our Savior 2,000 years ago.

If you’re wondering why some traveling preacher from 2,000 years ago is a big deal to me, read the following:

Read Psalm 2, 22 & 110. Jesus fulfilled all of those prophecies.
               Read Psalms 34:20; 40: 6-8; 41:9; 45: 6,7; 69:21 and 118:22 for more  prophecies about Messiah that Jesus fulfilled.
The prophet
Isaiah writes about the Messiah in Isaiah 53. Jesus fulfilled these prophecies, too.

And all of these were written thousands of years before Jesus’ arrival on earth.
You can find these chapters and verses for free at www.blueletterbible.org/. Pop in at John 3 while you’re there!

I pray for you Christ’s richest Christmas blessings!
