Barometer 4.1

“Far over the misty mountain cold…”

Barometer Mountain on 1-31-14, about 4:45.

Her close up. The setting sun was warming the fog into a gentle rosy hue.

And in my rearview mirror was the sight below.  I had to stop for another picture.

Barometer 4.3

She’s called Pillar Mountain, proud of her six wind turbines that provide the entire town its electricity. Could be a better pic, but I loved the way the cloud hung between the earth and the top of the mountain.

Weather Underground says Friday we had a high of 37 and a low of 33. Our sunrise was at 9:13, sunset at 5:33. We had 9 hours and 47 minutes of visible daylight, and actual daytime hours of 8 hours and 19 minutes.  Just last Friday, it was only 9 hours and 21 minutes of visible daylight, so we’re on track for those wonderful White Nights.

Challenge: Who knows where I got the misty-mountain quote?

Love and blessings.

P.S. Tune in next Monday for the week 5 of my Barometer Mountain 52-week photo challenge.
