Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY December 9, 2014

Outside my window…

Dark. Golden Christmas lights in the windows of the house across the street.

I am thinking…

Sometimes it’s not easy to know whether you don’t feel good, or you’re just giving up caffeine.

Sometimes it’s not easy to know whether you are lazy or in need of a break.

Sometimes it’s not easy to know whether you’re sharing your heart with God, or handing over a to-do list to Him.

I am thankful…

For chatting with Kelli…sorry for the loss of her dog. Hate that for her kids. Hate for her to have to watch them hurt. She has such a mama’s heart.

In the kitchen…

We have a kitchen in the house? Uh, just a minute, let me check. Leftover meatloaf! Go me for putting it in the freezer a couple weeks ago.

I am wearing…

My Johnny Cash outfit, apparently: black jeans, black t-shirt. The tennis shoes are white, though.

I am creating…

Nothing. Nothing at all. GRRRRR. When will I get back on this writing????????????

Lord???????

I am going…

To tutor.

I am wondering…

Why I can’t get my act together on a schedule. I know the lower level of caffeine is having an effect on that, but, still, I need to just-do-it. (Hyphens courtesy of my writing critique group. 🙂 )

I am reading…

Without a Trace by Colleen Coble. True confession: I peeked ahead at the ending. (Hides head in shame)

I am hoping…

For a productive day.

I am looking forward to…

Being back in the writing groove. It’s been way too long.Guess that’s what these Daybook entries are for. Now on to the rest of my day!

I am learning…

I need to get organized so my mind is free to be creative.

Around the house…

Dog hair all over the floors=vacuuming called for.

I am pondering…

Where to next in my research for my upcoming CGAK novel series. While I finish Nothing Hidden. Except I need to be in the writing groove. And I’m not. (see Looking Forward To… and Wondering… entries today.) Sigh.

A favorite quote for today…

“Anu was right. Scriptures did reveal things about a man. Kade was one of the gracious, compassionate, and righteous ones. She’d thought she could rule him out of the  murder, but now she was certain.”—chapter 18, Without a Trace by Colleen Coble

One of my favorite things…

Dogs. Always good for a laugh, a cuddle, a cry, a trick, a walk, or some spoiling.

A few plans for the rest of the week…

GET THIS ORGANIZATION SCHEDULE WORKED OUT!!!!!!!

Hopefully take some stuff from the garage to the landfill, specifically.

A peek into my day…

Dishes, laundry, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, dog training (Go to Mat? Focus?), tutoring
